JOHNSON ESTATE WINERY

Sundays in October – Fall Foliage Walks
8419 US Route 20 West, Westfield, NY 14787
9:30 a.m.
Here is your chance to taste a Riesling grape fresh off the vine! Join third-generation owner, Fred Johnson, on his 30-40 minute walk in the Johnson Estate vineyards, framed by the hillsides in their colorful fall foliage. Enjoy three samples of our wines. $6/person.

Reservations are not required but are recommended since the maximum capacity for this event is sixteen walkers. Groups of five or more should call the winery in advance to reserve their places.  Please wear appropriate walking shoes and outerwear. Hard rain cancels this walk (with a refund) but the winery has umbrellas for light drizzles. Children who can happily walk for 45 minutes with their parents are welcome - we will have Concord grape juice for them!

Federweisser, Small-Plate Riesling Celebration, October 20, 7pm

https://www.johnsonwinery.com/events/Federweisser---A-German-Riesling-Celebration---Small-Plate-Dinner-Oct-20
Celebrate the harvest as they do in Germany with pairings of “Federweisser and Zwielbelkuchen”. Federweisser, or "feather-white" in German, refers to a young, slightly fermented white grape juice. This delicious cold beverage is often served with Zwielbelkuchen, an onion pie or tart. Different regions of Germany favor different versions of this traditional dish - similar to Amercan onion quiche or to onion pizza.  $35/person
